Ellsworth boys rescued from train car
Two five-year-old Ellsworth boys were rescued from the inside of a coal car July 28 on the rairoad tracks in Ellsworth. No injuries were reported.

Wilson celebrates its 50th annual festival this year. The festival continues Saturday, July 30, and include a large parade and many other activities.

Ione Forgue
(1915-2009)

Ione Forgue, 93, Wilson, died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Hospice of Salina.

Mrs. Forgue was born Oct. 14, 1915, at Stockton to John and Rachel Riffe. She lived in Nebraska for a time, but spent most of her life in Kansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson.
She married Leonard Forgue June 15, 1942, at Zurich. He died in 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Johnita Keely of Covington, Ga., and Lenee Cullens of Wilson; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass is planned at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Father James Hoover officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or a charity of the donor's choice.

Foster Mortuary, Wilson, is in charge of arrangements.
