Ellsworth boys rescued from train car
Two five-year-old Ellsworth boys were rescued from the inside of a coal car July 28 on the rairoad tracks in Ellsworth. No injuries were reported.

Wilson celebrates its 50th annual festival this year. The festival continues Saturday, July 30, and include a large parade and many other activities.

Dale ‘Curly' Feil
(1938-2009)

Dale “Curly" Feil, 71, Lyons, died Sept. 21, 2009, at the Rice County District Hospital, Lyons.

Mr. Feil was born Sept. 4, 1938, at Wilson to Andrew and Lea Heinze Feil. He was a cattle auctioneer and buyer.
Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Daniels and June Dolezal, both of Wilson.

The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will follow in the dining hall of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lyons.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Church or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of Brizer Funeral Home, Lyons.
