Health department to follow KDHE priorities for H1N1 vaccinations
Last Updated: October 27, 2009

The Ellsworth County Health Department is now making appointments for H1N1 vaccinations for the following:

• Pregnant women.

• Those who live with or provide care for infants less than 6 months (parents, siblings and daycare providers).

• Health care and emergency medical services personnel who have direct contact with patients or infectious material.

• Children, ages 6 months through 4 years.

• Children and adolescents, ages 5-18, who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.

These groups are being targeted by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to receive the H1N1 vaccine until its availability increases.

Appointments can be made by calling the health department, (785) 472-4488.
