Ellsworth boys rescued from train car
Two five-year-old Ellsworth boys were rescued from the inside of a coal car July 28 on the rairoad tracks in Ellsworth. No injuries were reported.

Wilson celebrates its 50th annual festival this year. The festival continues Saturday, July 30, and include a large parade and many other activities.

Florence Erickson, 92, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Wilson.

She was born Jan 6, 1917, in Larimore, N.D., to Paul and Anna Mootz Pomplun. Living in Ellsworth since 1983, she had worked for Bemis Brother Bags in Seattle, Wash.

Her husband. Albert Erickson, preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1960.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Sawyer, Ellsworth; sisters, Marie Stepper, Seattle, Wash., and Dorothy Beaver, Fargo, N.D.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A private  inurnment will be conducted later in Seattle.

Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth handled arrangements.
